Reform of the Yukon Public Service Act

The Public Service Act must reflect today’s workforce. A modern public service needs clarity, fairness and consistent standards that protect employees and strengthen the quality of public institutions.

One priority is the probation period, which remains longer than necessary. Updated rules can ensure fair evaluation while allowing workers to enter stable employment sooner.

My commitment is to advance reforms that improve transparency, support fairness and ensure the legislation reflects the needs of workers and the territory.
