Immigrant and ethnically diverse workers contribute to every sector of the Yukon. Strengthening support for these workers creates stronger workplaces, stronger communities and a stronger labour movement.
This initiative focuses on practical improvements in access to information, workplace fairness, equal treatment and proactive representation. Workers who arrive in a new territory often face language barriers, unclear expectations, or limited access to workplace rights.
As president, I will work to ensure unions and locals have stronger tools to welcome, inform and support these workers so they can thrive and participate fully in our workplaces and communities.
